AUDIO VISUAL ENGINEER

Location:Manchester (and Northwest)

Salary: £24 - £30k (dependant on experience) + company benefits
Reporting to: Project Manager & Operations Director
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexibility required

R&W Venue Technologies is an audio visual systems integration company (commercial and education projects) based in Manchester.

Role Overview:The main role is to deliver industry-leading audio-visual system installations across Manchester and the rest of the UK. On site you will need to be meticulous in your attention to detail, working to company and industry high standards. You will work closely with, and report to, the on-site Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Physical installation of audio visual equipment i.e. projectors, displays, speakers, and equipment racks etc.) in accordance with the project Scope of Works and or brief
  • Read, understand and interpret the project documentation including audio visual schematics and M&E drawings
  • Testing, commissioning and configuration programming of equipment as required: conduct test schedule, and certify the performance of, installed systems
  • Rack building and wiring
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Ensure good quality workmanship which meets company and industry standards; complies with building codes; and follows safety requirements when assembling, installing, testing, and or maintaining AV systems
  • Follow the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for a range of AV integration work undertaken
  • Specify and source any and all parts as required for an installation in line with company guidelines
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Attending site coordination meetings
  • Maintaining accurate up to date records of the onsite installation
  • Reporting to the Project Manager (PM)
  • Representing the PM in their absence
  • Liaising with other internal departments, clients and contractors
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Attend training courses as necessary
  • Other duties as required

Preferable Skills

  • Technical knowledge and install experience of Crestron and VC systems
  • Experience in termination and reading, understanding and interpreting cable schedules etc.
  • Experience in installation of structured cabling, data, control and AV cabling and audio-visual containment
